1. About this policy
This policy explains how Document Downloader handles information when you use our document tools, guides, and optional account features. It applies to this website; third-party document platforms have their own policies.
2. Links and document processing
When you submit a link, our servers process the URL, document metadata, and public page resources needed for the requested download. Files are assembled in your browser. We do not provide a hosted library of your generated downloads. Do not submit private links, credentials, or information you do not have permission to share.
3. Account and support information
Downloads supported on this site do not require an account. If you choose to create one, we process your email address, account profile, password hash, verification records, and login sessions. Optional Google sign-in provides the profile information needed to identify your account. Messages you send us and related correspondence are processed to respond to your request.
4. Cookies and service diagnostics
Essential cookies support account sessions and security. Requests may include an IP address, browser information, timestamps, and technical error details used to operate the service, limit abuse, and investigate failures. You can manage cookies in your browser; blocking essential cookies can prevent account features from working.
5. Service providers and analytics
Cloudflare provides hosting, security, and account data infrastructure. Plunk delivers account verification and support emails. Google handles optional Google sign-in. If analytics is enabled, Google Analytics or Umami may process visit and device information under their own policies. Information may be processed outside your country. We do not sell account information. For SlideShare downloads, we send the submitted document URL to slidesharedownloder.com to obtain slide image links. Account details are not sent to this provider.
6. Sharing and third-party content
Information is processed by providers as needed to deliver their services, and may be disclosed when required by law or to address abuse and protect rights. Opening a source document or following an external link subjects that visit to the source platform's policies. We do not control third-party content or their data practices.
7. Retention and protection
We retain information as needed for the service, security, and applicable obligations. Passwords are stored as hashes, and verification codes expire. Deleting an account removes account and associated support data; limited technical records may remain for security or legal reasons. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices and requests
You may use supported downloads without registering, manage cookies in your browser, and delete an account from account settings. Depending on the rules applicable to you, you may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information. We may need to verify ownership before acting on a request.
9. Children and policy updates
This service is not directed to children under 13. Do not create an account if you are under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, use the privacy request address below. Updates to this policy will be published here with a revised date.
